Whether you're new to supporting students experiencing homelessness or looking to refresh your understanding of McKinney-Vento requirements, the McKinney-Vento Launchpad is your starting point. Join Jane Fronheiser, New York State McKinney-Vento Coordinator, and Dan Martinelli, Director of NYS-TEACHS, for an engaging and practical overview of McKinney-Vento law, guidance, and best practices.
Designed for all school personnel who work with students and families, this session will provide a foundational framework for understanding student rights and school responsibilities.
As an added benefit, participation in the McKinney-Vento Launchpad satisfies the annual McKinney-Vento training requirement, and attendees will receive a certificate of completion following the session.
